fantastic Service Stayed two nights in the family room and the Black Lion was the perfect base to attend a wedding locally and explore the area. Mike, Hazel and staff were great! Nothing was too much trouble, Thanks for the lift Mike! Food and accomadation excellent, highly recommended! |

Black Lion Guest House Our first stop in Wales and after a long flight from the west coast of Canada, we were picked up from the train and treated "royally". Our hosts went beyond the call of duty and provided luggage storage and further transportation. Highly recommended! |

Cosy and Cute My stay at the Black Lion was very pleasant. I had come down with a cold the day before leaving for Wales and even with aching bones and stuffy head, I felt as comfortable as I could possibly be!(Probably even more so then at my own home!)
Clean, cosy, comfy! Splendid! With a gorgeous breakfast, I hardly needed to eat for the rest of the day. Hope you had a lovely holiday in Cyprus Hazel and thank you ever so much for your hospitality.

Lovely! Spent 2 nights at the Black Lion last weekend & had a great experience. Room was really lovely & I felt really well looked after by Hazel, especially with brilliant cooked breakfast!
Would definitely stay again & recommend wholeheartedly to anyone visiting the area |

Home from Home Very welcoming, clean and cosy and really sweet attention to detail in the rooms... right down to the cosiest dressing gown which I couldn't bear to leave behind! Highly recommended and will definitely be my first choice when I return to Wales. Many thanks to Hazel and Mike. |

Best B&Bin UK During my one month journey in UK, Black Lion is truly the best B&B.
Tasty breakfast and friendly hosts, and their little cute grandson made me feel just like at home. If I have another chance to visit Brecon&Beacon, I would like to stay here again. |

Breakfast Revival I was staying in the Black Lion while at a friends Wedding. After the nights festivities coming back to a comfortable room and enjoying an excellent vegi breakfast in the morning massively helped with the recovery. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.. they even gave me a lift back to my car. Highly Recommended |

Marvellous hosts Our group of five Canadians immensely appreciated our time at the Black Lion -- lovely rooms, great breakfast; Hazel and Jade warmly welcomed us. But the help Mike gave us by picking us up at the train staion, driving us to the Black Lion, then taking us to our canal boat next day was exceptional. And then he did it again, actually recruiting another driver and driving us from the canal boat to the train in Newport a week later -- when we weren't even staying at the Black Lion that night. We were also allowed to leave two big suitcases at the guesthouse for a week while on the boat. Can anyone top that? |

Unbeatable Incredibly friendly owners, who went out of their way to meet me at the station and then drive me in to the Welsh countryside to find the wedding I was meant to be attending - it wasn't my wedding by the way - and then offered to pick me up later on. The room was perfect and the breakfast outstanding. Massively recommended. |
